Cotton Mako’ Ne 50 is the finest thread in the Aurifil Cotton Mako’ range. It is supplied on an orange spool base, in 2 spool sizes. The large, standard, spool holds 1300 metres while the small, mini, spool holds 200 metres of thread.
The Ne 50 thread weight is ideally suited for invisible applique such as needle turned, work by hand, or tiny zigzag and blind hem machine applique. It also gives a fine, delicate finish when used for machine satin stitch applique.
Used as a piecing thread, it allows you to achieve a “spot on” block size with out any fudging of the seam allowance. This is because there is no loss of fabric when the seam folds over the thread, as can happen with a thick piecing thread.
If you love miniature piecing, or foundation piecing, the Cotton Mako’ Ne 50 should be your thread of choice.
Machine Embroiderers, don’t ignore the possibilities for gorgeous cotton lace and detailed designs when using this fine thread.
